The first way is super easy and totally free. I signed up with Ebates and get a small percentage back on almost every online purchase I make. There aren't many places that you can't get cash back from (At least not where I've tried buying from). You have to spend a lot of money to get a whole lot back, but you're still getting money back on things you're buying anyway... win win right?

The second way is couponing. I buy several Sunday papers and stock up on multiples of the same coupons. I also use websites like www.coupons.com and www.redplum.com to print out an even bigger variety of coupons. I keep them organized in a binder that I have with me almost always. The trick is looking for prices when they are the lowest sale or clearance price then using the coupons then. I'll admit sometimes this is difficult to do. It's hard to know what's a good deal and what's not without searching several ads to find the best price.
The 3rd way is memberships/rewards cards. My husband and I spend a great deal of time and money on video games so we have a GameStop rewards card, it gives us additional money for trade-ins and cheaper purchases of used games. Every purchase also gives us reward points that we can save up and use for additional savings or other rewards. We have rewards cards for our pharmacy, several convenience stores, even the theater we always go to. The rewards we receive (even when it's just coupons) are always a nice help.
That's all I've got for now. I'd love to hear what you do to save money, maybe i'll learn something from you.
